Esser seems a bit of a hero. His single I Love You is pretty darn awesome. Pukes on himself. Classy:

I’m looking forward to the new Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip album coming out in May. Don’t remember Thou Shalt Always Kill ? Well you should.
I don’t usually like Radiohead mashups, but I love Letter from God.
Lyrics rarely excite me, I’m much more of a note man, but Scroobius’ grab me by the ears and pull me in. Same goes for their new single Look for the Woman. Check out the TV head running around Old Street tube:
I have fallen in love with Elbow’s Grounds for Divorce. Probably the best guitar-lick ever.
Elbow’s album The Seldom Seen Kid makes me think of Coldplay, if they were actually good. They could challenge for the best British band, and actually take the mantle so many of Elbow’s fans feel they deserve.
Their next single, One Day Like This, from The Seldom Seen Kid. Could be on course to be a massive summer anthem. Possibly the most uplifting song about a hang over yet:
Everyone seems to love Barcelonan El Guincho, aka Pablo Díaz-Reixa, and his self-released album Alegranza!. If M.I.A. had some sun up her ass she might sound something like El Guincho. I love hearing musicians get their roots, pull them out, and make music with them.
I expect we’ll be hearing a lot of El Guincho this summer. Which is only a good thing.
Violinist and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird from Chicago seems to have quite a following in the US, and rightly so. He’s playing at IndigO2 (the dome) on 26 April, and will do my best to get to it. In fact give me a shout if you want to come a long!
I’ll definitely buy his album Armchair Apocrypha this week (payday soon!). His single Imitosis is quite a fresh sound. Good video too:
