Musicians can change too. And although the trip-hop duo formerly known as D’Nell have not become maniacal dictators, they’ve completely re-written themselves.

Dan Jones and Ellie Hajee’s new project, House of Bamboo, is a moody Electronic dream. Their album Standing Behind Myself has been self-released on Bandcamp. You need to hear it.

Despite intricate production, there’s a lingering eerie lo-fi aesthetic that conjours reminders of Sonic Youth or Joy Division.
